A Butterflies Game

10-21-1997
I wrote this when I was 14. Being Foolish.

Away by the sea,
down on the ground,
lay a little blue bird
on the shadows of town.
Walking across that very same day
came a curious boy
who lived by the bay.
He looked at the ground
and picked up the bird.
But the bird just looked up
and said not a word.
"What happened to you?"
Asked the boy of the bird
"I was stabbed in the eye by a butterfly
and I cannot see to fly away,
so I lay here to die on the sand by the bay."
The boy then glanced up
and in the sky
A butterfly too stabbed him once in the eye
and he fell to the fround and there bled to death
because of a bitterflies deadly mischeif.
*** Moral-No one suspects a butterfly.***
